Sydney 2

After a somewhat tardy start (last night maybe?), plus a compulsion to take a photo of the concierge's fine uniform and a late breakfast, we boarded the hop-on, hop-off, ferry service around the harbour. First stop was Fort Denison, an 1800's fort with cannon still in place, which had the distinction of being shelled in later life while being mistaken for a submarine in Sydney's harbour! Then it was to Watson's Bay, where a great view of the harbour, the bridge and city can be seen from one side, while the South Pacific can be seen from the other. The ferry was a great way to see the harbour area and we took a short trip in Darling Harbour, just to give Jean a look, before returning to Circular Quay. Tiny figures could be seen climbing the bridge, a treat due tomorrow at twilight!
